moodgym
Moodgym is a broad mental health program that has five online modules based on CBT, and is free thanks to funding from the Commonwealth Department of Health. It is suitable for those aged 16 years or older.
THIS WAY UP!
THIS WAY UP! offer free wellbeing courses and low-cost (or free if prescribed by a THIS WAY UP! registered GP or psychologist) Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)-based courses for a range of mental health difficulties including depression, worry, social anxiety, health anxiety, panic attacks, obsessive compulsive (OCD) traits, post traumatic stress, chronic pain, mixed anxiety and depression, stress (mindfulness-based CBT), perinatal mental health difficulties, and teen mental health difficulties.
myCompass
The Black Dog Institute offer an online program for people over 18 years who experience mild to moderate levels of depression, anxiety, and stress. The program has 14 different learning activities such as CBT strategies that take 10-15 minutes each to complete, plus a mood tracker which takes approximately 1-2 minutes per day.
MindSpot
The MindSpot clinic by the Macquarie University has a range of online courses available following a 20 minute online assessment, from wellbeing-based courses to courses to support Indigenous people’s mental health, to support general mood for young adults, to manage OCD symptoms, to manage PTSD symptoms, to manage the impact of chronic pain, and to manage the impact of a chronic physical condition.
e-couch
E-couch has programs for depression, anxiety and worry, social anxiety, divorce and separation, as well as loss and bereavement. E-couch was originally developed by the Australian National University. The programs are based in CBT, interpersonal therapy, and psychoeducation.
The Happiness Trap
The Happiness Trap online program by Russ Harris is based on the principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). It’s an 8 week course (1-2 hours per week) for people who want to stop struggling and build genuine happiness. There is a fee for this course, and no rebates are available.
Relationships WA
Relationships WA offer a variety of in-person and online courses for a variety of difficulties including those in relation to self-worth, boundaries, parenting, and romantic relationships.
BRAVE Self-Help
The BRAVE Self-Help programs are for children who experience anxiety, and their parents/ caregivers. There’s a Young Child Program for children aged 3-7 yrs, a Child Program for children aged 8-12 yrs, and a Teen Program for pre-teens and teens aged 12-17 yrs.
Triple P
Triple P offers parenting programs both online and in-person. Please note: if you have a neurodivergent child (Autistic or ADHD etc), these strategies are not likely to work for you.
